Margaret Armstrong, from Kilmore Green in Lisnaskea, remembers very well the times when her mother, Jennie took her to visit her grand-ma, Ellen and aunt, Julia, who lived in the thatched cottage. You opened the door, went down three steps into the passage and there was a door on your right with a little curtained window, which led into the kitched. There was a stepladder in the kitchen, which Margaret would climb to reach the bedroom in the loft, which ran the whole length of the cottage and had two beds in it. Margaret would stay there sometimes and loved it. From the kitchen there was another door, which opened into the little downstairs bedroom on the right of the cottage and it was a small room with wooden ceilings.
