Author - John B. Cunningham
The main purpose of this book is to remind those of us who lived through the 1950s what it was like in those years and introduce those yet to be born to what the 1950s were like. Everything looks different from the perspective of 50 years later and actions and words take on a different meaning with the passage of time.
All of the material in this book has appeared in local or national newspapers. It is in the Public Domain and available to everyone who cares to look it up in their local library. Nevertheless, newspapers are not always correct in their reporting, nor do they give the same prominence to a correction as to the original story. However they are one of the main sources of day to day history that is readily available. Care has been taken to paraphrase the accounts of the newspapers but no responsibility can be taken for the newspapers' inaccuracies. Available for £15 plus £3 P&P. Unfortunately now out of print but due shortly as a CD.
